The Gloucester Triathlon is grateful that the town and it's officials are in full support of bringing a triathlon to Gloucester. The organizers of the race believe strongly in giving back to the community. To this end, the Gloucester Triathlon is pleased to partner with the Gloucester Fishermen Athletic Association (GFAA). The GFAA is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization founded and supported by community volunteers. GFAA's goal is to support the Gloucester's athletic sports programs and related activities for the youth of Gloucester.
The mission of the GFAA is to:
- Maintain affordable user fees so everyone has an opportunity to play sports
- Facilitate the maintenance of all our athletic facilities
- Increase participation in sports
The GFAA encourages and advances the athletic programs of the Gloucester Public Schools and thereby cultivates clean and wholesome school spirit, promotes good sportsmanship, and develops high ideals of character.
