March 25, 2009 — The Gloucester Triathlon announces Manchester Athletic Club (MAC) as the official training center of the 2009 Gloucester Triathlon. The Manchester, Massachusetts based athletic club offers a multi-sport facility including Tennis, Aquatics, Fitness, Group Fitness & Summer Camps, med Spa, Personal Training.
Co-Founder of the event, Janda Ricci-Munn, explained, "Our alliance with the MAC provides both new and experienced racers an exceptional place to train and get ready for the triathlon. I highly recommend that everyone takes advantage of the skilled training available at this facility."
Manchester Athletic Club offers a triathlon training program specifically aimed at performance in sprint triathlons. In collaboration with Hilltops USAT certified trainers Nan Gorton-Demaso and Marnie Lawler the club will provide unparalleled training to current and aspiring triathletes. Both are respected for their individual achievements as athletes and have great skill in creating programs for the "compete to complete" athlete to the top 10 finishers. The club series is organized and accepting new athletes today.

The 1st annual Gloucester Triathlon will take place in downtown Gloucester on August 9, 2009. The sprint triathlon consists of .25 swim, 16 mile, 3.2 mile run. Race officials are preparing for over 800 athletes and 2000 spectators to be in Gloucester on race day.
